After 7-5 Loss, Bears Down in Series 2-1

BRCC dropped game three of the Region XXIII Championship Series 7-5 on Sunday afternoon. Delgado's win gives the Dolphins a 2-1 lead in the seven-game series.

Delgado took an early 1-0 lead after opening the game with a triple. The run would later score on a ground out. Baton Rouge bounced back in the second inning by plating three runs of their own, highlighted by a Steven Bright two-run double. 

The Bears 3-1 lead would not last long. Delgado regained the lead in the top half of the third by scoring three runs of their own. 

The Dolphins added two more runs in the fourth inning, with the lead extended to 6-3 Baton Rouge could not muster enough runs to win the ball game. 

With Saturday's game being postponed, the two teams are schedule to meet again today for game four at Kirsch-Rooney Stadium. Game time is set for 3:00 pm.
